With more than 400 quality color images and photographs this book, published by the Colorado Geological Survey, is a celebration of the world-class geology found in the state.
The book is aimed at the general public, but will also be of interest to professional earth scientists and students. The book not only displays Colorado’s fantastic geologic features, but also serves as a primer on geologic principles and concepts. The book discusses and illustrates three broad categories: Colorado’s rocks and structures, Colorado’s Geologic History, and the impact of Colorado’s Geology on humans which includes water, economic resources, and geologic hazards.
